Fall risk assessment

  • 1 camera

    No calibration or wearables

  • 2 minutes

    Processed offline, on the device

  • 50+ measurements

    Angular, spatial and temporal insights

Supporting assessment across care settings

  • Primary and community care: routine assessment for older adults
  • Hospitals and rehabilitation: assessment during recovery and before discharge
  • Residential and long-term care: ongoing mobility monitoring
  • Accessible wherever care happens

Supports continuity of care from clinic to community, enabling earlier and more frequent assessments.

  • Objective and consistent

50+ objective measurements, including gait speed, single support time and knee flexion, to support more targeted care.

  • Longitudinal insight

Surfaces subtle changes in mobility and function over time, supporting timely intervention.

Challenge

Fall risk assessment typically combines screening questions with timed tests such as the Timed Up-and-Go. These tools are well established, but carrying them out routinely demands considerable labour, and results can vary between assessors.

CareCam adds an objective layer to assessment, surfacing detailed aspects of movement and allowing results to be compared reliably from one visit to the next, so care can be adjusted in a timely and targeted way.

How an assessment runs

  1. Record a short video of the assessment. No calibration, wearables or large space required.

  2. Results in under 2 minutes. Processed offline, so patient data stays on the device.

  3. Compare objective measurements across assessments to track progress and plan care.

Inside the report

Over 50 objective measurements from a single assessment, compared against normative ranges and tracked over time.

  • Angular

Joint and segment angles, including range of motion and left-right asymmetry.

  • Spatial

Step and stride length, step width, and walking speed.

  • Temporal

Cadence, stance and swing phases, and single and double support time.
